Playing: Friendly Games
Friendly mixed-doubles games against local clubs are often organised during the tennis season When finalised, details are posted on the club notice board (and below). A sheet to sign up for particular fixtures you are interested is also posted on the club noticeboard at that time.
So, please sign up for these - they are a fun day and a great way to meet players from other clubs. Friendly games consist of two mixed-doubles pairs from each club playing against each other. Each pair will play against each pair from the other club in two games. Matches wil be the best of 3 sets. Sets are usually tie-break sets but, if people are really enjoying their games, may be varied to be full sets.
We are keen that as many members as possible, especially those who do not normally play for the club league teams, participate in these games. These games can be arranged to be at Hampton-In-Arden (Home Games) or may involve you travelling to another local club (Away Games):

Home Games
It is customary for the hosting club to provide a light tea afterwards. Arrange beforehand who will provide the tea/sandwiches/cakes etc. Turn up at 2.15pm and enjoy the afternoon! -
Away Games
Turn up at the other club at the required time (all at 2.15pm unless specified), play tennis and then be fed and watered by your opponents. Bliss!
