Playing: National Competition Framework - 8/9 years old
Mini-Tennis (Orange) (ages 8 and 9)
Orange Mini-Tennis caters for the next age range on from Mini-Tennis Red. For the 2009 season, this means those 9-year old children whose birthdays lie in 2000 or later. In this group, matches are played on three-quarter-sized courts using bright orange balls which are like a soft tennis ball and travel faster than the Mini-Tennis Red sponge balls (so you'll need to speed up a bit!). Rackets, too, are getting bigger but are still not quite adult size.
Where do I fit in to this framework?
Our coaching staff currently provide coaching sessions for each age group in the National Competition Framework, starting with Mini-Tennis (Red). The current coaching schedule is published on this site
