Now studying for LTA Level II coaching qualification
We welcome Sam to Hampton as assistant coach. Currently aged 20, born and brought up in Worcester, but now living locally, Sam has been playing tennis for 15 years, encouraged and coached by his father, Mark, who was a tennis coach.
Sam’s passion for tennis came from watching and learning to appreciate the game and also from seeing how people could improve and progress with the right guidance.
Sam has just completed a Btec in Sports and Exercise Science at Worcester Sixth Form College. It involved studying numerous subjects including Biomechanics, Human Biology and Anatomy. Sam is now further developing his coaching skills through studying for the LTA Level II qualification.
Since 2004, Sam has had a variety of practical experience including voluntary work on numerous sports courses, including sports for Down’s Syndrome children, anger management tennis and helping with Worcester Sports Partnership’s Race for life. Lastly he assisted a coach in Droitwich working with both younger players and adults, and he also worked with seniors at David Lloyd. In addition to tennis, he has worked for Star Trak Athletics Academy for two years running and Sportz Academies. These are both large summer camps held in various areas in the Midlands.
Sam is now enjoying helping Hampton members of all ages to enjoy and improve their tennis.
